I'm gonna ______
Fill in the blank. What are you going to do? What do you want to do? When are you going to do it?
For years, I've used that phrase. I'm gonna do this or I'm gonna do that. Sometimes I succeeded. More often, I failed miserably. Failing isn't bad, if you actually try. But the important part and often the hardest, is the trying. All it takes is just a little action towards that goal to create the momentum you need to fulfill your phrase. To prove to yourself, and others, that you can do it.
As athletes and individuals, we set goals for ourselves. Some are easily reached, while others take a tremendous amount of effort. Unless we push out of our comfort zone, those lofty goals will never be accomplished. We need to realize that these goals are a part of who we want to be. We need to prove to ourselves that our goals can be accomplished. Look inside, set your goals, then prove to yourself that you can achieve them.
